When to Move

Summer is the peak season for movers as families want to get settled in before school begins. If possible, avoid the busy time between Memorial Day and Labor Day. If you must move in the summer, plan well in advance. Keep in mind, too, that the first and last weeks of the month are usually the most hectic time for movers.

Our team here at Coastal Carrier will make every effort to accommodate your schedule. The sooner we know when and where you are going, the better prepared we will be to make you our top priority that day.

Plants

We can move your plants; however, we cannot guarantee their survival. Obviously, a move across town is not as taxing on your plants as a move from coast to coast. Some plants are more sensitive to changes in light, temperature, and humidity than others. We recommend that you transport your plants if possible. If not, we'll do our very best to keep them green and growing.

Hazardous Materials

Trucking laws do not allow us to transport hazardous materials such as gasoline, cleaning fluids, aerosols and LP Gas tanks. Please drain the fuel from all equipment -- lawn mowers, go-carts, gas grills, etceteras -- prior to our arrival.

Insure your Belongings

We are required by law to carry insurance on the contents of our trucks. However, you may have furniture or other items of special value that you wish to insure at replacement value or shipper declared value. Our representative will explain to you which is more appropriate for your move.

Let us Pack

We know how to pack all of your belongings in the safest packing materials and boxes. You may be tempted to do all the packing yourself; however, in the long run, professional packing will not only reduce your stress level and save time during the move, but will give you peace of mind that your treasured things will arrive safely at your new home or office.
